Serves 2-4, should yield 8 rotis
Ingredients:
- 1 cup wheat flour
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup water, and more as needed
- Vegan ghee optional
Instructions:
- Mix and knead the ingredients by hand to form a dough.
- Break off a piece of dough and roll into a ball. Cover with flour. Roll out into a thin circle with a rolling pin.
- Heat the roti in a pan. Once it starts forming air bubbles, flip to the other side.
- Take the roti off the pan with tongs and cook directly on the open flame for 5-10 seconds, so it bubbles up but doesn’t burn. Remove with tongs, spread vegan ghee on top if desired, and serve.
