Serves 4
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup Basmati rice, yields 3 ½ - 4 cups cooked rice
- 1 tbsp vegan butter
- 1/2 tbsp cumin seeds (“jeera”)
- 2-3 bay leaves
Instructions:
- Cook rice according to instructions on the packet.
- Heat the butter on a pan until it melts. Add cumin seeds and let them cook until they splutter. Then add bay leaves and cook on low flame for a few minutes.
- Finally, add the rice to the butter and spices.
- Serve with tofu makhani and kaali dal.
